Aloha!Solar Impulse 2 又再创下一个纪录了,这架全太阳能飞机及其机师 André Borschberg 已于夏威夷的本地时间 7 月 3 号早上 5 时 55 分降落在当地的 Kalaeloa 机场。SI2 由日本名古屋飞往夏威夷的过程中,共费时 117 小时零 52 分钟,飞了大约 7,200 公里,明显地是全太阳能飞机中的第一,更不要忘记它日前已拿下有史以来滞空时间最长的纪录。

在飞行的过程中,机师 Borschberg 每 24 小时内只能休息 5 次,每次更只有 20 分钟;休息时飞机会由自动驾驶系统控制。饮食方面,他每日会吃下 5.2 磅的食物、喝下 2.5L 的水和 1L 的运动饮品;为了保持身体健康和避免因久坐而出现问题,他更会每日做 30 至 45 分钟的瑜珈。接下来,SI2 的下一站就是美国亚利桑那州凤凰城,但 Solar Impulse 2 的团队会先在夏威夷做一下推广活动,下一次起飞时间尚待公布。

Hawaii, United States of America, June 28, 2015: Solar Impusle 2 lands in Hawaii  with Andr� Borschberg at the controls. The First Round-the-World Solar Flight will take 500 flight hours and cover 35�000 km, over five months. Swiss founders and pilots, Bertrand Piccard and Andr� Borschberg hope to demonstrate how pioneering spirit, innovation and clean technologies can change the world. The duo will take turns flying Solar Impulse 2, changing at each stop and will fly over the Arabian Sea, to India, to Myanmar, to China, across the Pacific Ocean, to the United States, over the Atlantic Ocean to Southern Europe or Northern Africa before finishing the journey by returning to the initial departure point. Landings will be made every few days to switch pilots and organize public events for governments, schools and universities.
