笔者在假日整理Computex的照片时，发现还有两、三个新闻没有写到，想了一下，觉得神基(MiTAC)的强固笔电很有特色，再加上在台湾地区也比较少看到强固电笔，决定说明一下。不过这笔电在本地应该是不会销售的（或是说，也许是特殊单位才有机会采买）。

在现场我对强固笔电有以下三个想法：

一、坚固：在高度90公分的情形下，在开机的状态下摔，都不会有事。
二、适用恶劣环境：具备防尘防水特性。笔者曾问在海滩使用有没有问题（我的数个电子产品曾因为进沙，出了不少状况。），他说在沙漠使用都没有问题。
三、比看起来轻：展示的笔电中，也有比较轻量级的行动设备，其实拿起来不会太重。

至于消费性笔电，也有提到省电以及比一般笔电坚固的特性，但也是没有销售。

Computex 2008 is officially over. While organizing photos on the weekend, I realized that there are still
some interesting news that I forgot to share with you on the weekend. Military-grade notebook is not something we commonly see, so I thought this super tough notebook from Getac is worth mentioning.

Some impressions I got from this tough little guy are:

1. Durablility: Even if you drop it from 90 cm high, it will still function perfectly fine.

2. Environment-proof: Completely waterprrof and dustproof. Need to go in the desert? No problem!

3. Lightweight: It is lighter than it looks.

This rugged tablet PC and Getac's other laptop products are currently not on sale in Taiwan.

Few days ago, we featured a post about Ubuntu announcing their Remix OS for ultra-portable. In that particular post, the screen capture is shown in 4:3 aspect ratio. However, upon seeing a living demonstration unit, we realize the native screen aspect ratio should be, like the photo above, 16:9, for the reason that most ultra-portables' display are widescreen display. On that note, there is one supplementary information about the concept of Remix's desktop-less interface design. Instead of the conventional concept of desktop interface, Remix used a fixed grid interface to present the OS.
