Computex 2008：ASPEN无线USB

无线USB在我们的网站上也有介绍过几次，不过很神奇的，在前年的时候听过这种类似的产品，在去年的时候，就听说可能会有普遍且大量的应用。但一直到现在，个人甚至一直都没有机会看到产品。这次Computex既然有厂商展这样的产品，干脆就了解一下。

只可惜，厂商有将产品拆解，内部却不让笔者拍照。

[ASPEN has the wireless USB]

We talked about products using wireless USB on the blog several times. But It is intriguing why it has been more than two years but we still do not see them on the market. We took the chance to learn more about this technology since it is on exhibition. The company took it apart to show the interior; unfortunately, they would not let us take a picture of the UWB(Ultra-Wideband) chip inside.

The iPod and the printer around the TV is remote-controlled by the Mac computer quite a distance away. Click on the link to see how this is achieved.

虽然ASPEN内在的UWB（Ultra-Wideband）无线芯片不给拍，但在现场有成品可作示范。

在电视右下角，有个iPod。

在我们背面（电视前方），有个打印机。

在电视左手边，有一段颇长的距离，将dongle接在苹果笔电上。结果可以同时看ipod上的影片以及打印东西。

其实一开始在示范时，我还没有意会到hub的概念。一直到示范完成后，厂商跟我说，这一个USB dongle，最多可以接八个不同的装置。像现场示范时，一个是打印机，另一个是多媒体播放器，就是两个装置。

此外，这个无线USB也不用装驱动程序。而更重要的是，不仅支持Windows，也同时支持Linux与苹果的操作系统。

说到这里，既然做到免驱动，而且多方操作系统支持，甚至还可以一接多，实在不能理解为何到现在还无法流行的原因，难道是因为价格吗？
