Penryn 版 iMac 采用的不是 Montevina 平台喔！

话说昨天推出的 Penryn 版 iMac 当中，那台最高阶、采用频率在 3.06 GHz iMac 所采用的处理器，到底是不是 Intel 的那颗 Core 2 Duo Extreme X9100，有人认为是，不过他们似乎是猜错了！

这颗原来是 Intel 帮苹果从 2.80 GHz 某颗 Penryn 超频过来的，也就是说，Intel 再度帮水果特调了一颗 CPU。

而既然不是采用了 X9100 这颗芯片，照道理来说，也就表示 iMac 搭载的芯片组应该就不属于 Montevina 这个 Centrino 2 的行动运算平台。那真相究竟是？

原来整个架构仍然是采用前一代的 Santa Rosa，只不过是让 FSB 的频率跑到了 1066MHz，耗电功率也是略高的 55 瓦，而不是采用 Montevina 平台该有的 44 瓦。

所以整个看起来，苹果就是要跟别人不一样的样子。
