造价1000万欧元，全球最庞大的深海遥控机器人SMD Ultra Trencher 1 (UT1)，上周开工啦。50吨重，三围25.5 x 25.5 x 18.3英尺，功率2兆瓦特，可以在1500米深的坚硬海床上打出1米宽2.5米深的壕沟，并铺设电缆。由于船只胡乱抛锚，弄断了3到4根深海主干光缆，UT1及时上工正好解决了这燃眉之急。
