intel 解释UMPC与MID的差别

也许读者已经听过不少次UMPC与MID的区别了，这次英文主站的编辑抓到机会，询问intel的Dan Monahan，整理了差别如下：

UMPC：
‧商业等级的装置，使用者多半为商务用途。
‧跑较为重量级的操作系统，如Vista。
‧对于办公室软件有着普遍的使用，像Word、Excel等。

MID
‧消费等级、生活化的装置
‧跑较为轻量的操作系统，可以较快开机，如Linux。
‧以多媒体播放以及行动上网浏览为主的设定。
‧在2009年左右，以Moorestown架构的产品，就是典型的MID

其实这样的定义说起来，还真的非常「概念」，很纯粹的应用式分类。我想，就由产品发布后，经过这一、两年时间，由消费者的购买以及使用评价来看，才会是比较精准的。不过，搞不好在这段期间，又出一个新的XX概念也说不定。

4.7"VGA plus touch screen(better muti-touch screen)
8Gb storage(better 80G as ipod classic)
GPRS or 3G and wifi
5hour battery life
prx:below usd400.00 or rmb 3000.00
when can i get such a engadgets to surf on line???
Actually i hope PSP can be improved and presents PSP touch. lol

Linux可不是轻量级OS。
如果重量级指的是笨重，轻量级指的是轻巧，我同意。
