I just wasted an entire evening trying figure out how to get my soundcard with digital output work under Ubuntu. 对于ubuntu感觉还是不错的.因为unix like和不流行,所以针对这个操作系统的病毒和木马都很少.这样,操作系统的大部分程序性能比xp快一点点,除了firefox.整体效果没有偶的xp快.中文office的处理能力还是有很大欠缺的.界面美观方面,如果用很漂亮的compiz,那么性能和稳定性下降太多.:( linux桌面软件实在太欠缺(易用性&稳定性)的考虑了.

他从来不是用来设计取代Windows OS X的
对他来说市场占有率是个几乎没有用处的数据
特别是桌面版，对于那些贡献代码的工程师来说，他们没有因为这个市场占有率获得一分钱他
所以Ubuntu的老大Mark Shuttleworth在他著名的Bug#1中并没有提到 他的目标是取代Windows什么的

第二点 关于易用性
你用过vi, Emacs, LaTex后就知道什么是易用性了
大多数的人在接触Linux之前都有使用过别的OS
他们把原来的习惯搬到上面去，却发现Linux完全不是他们所熟悉的那种
所以与其说易用性差 不如说学习成本高 也就是说 使用Linux 你就需要敲敲打打 才能得到你需要的东西

第三点 关于硬件驱动
.mov也好, iPod也好，硬件厂商大多数还是对开源持敌视和怀疑的态度，这是事实，那么选择自由还是便利，这是个人的一个选择。
