生物手臂帮助残障朋友找回触觉

虽然Matsushita和Activelink已着手开发复健机器人，帮助残障朋友再次活动肢体，美国的Claudia Mitchell却透过另一种装置，重新找回自己的手臂。

作为全球第一位使用生物手臂(bionic arm)的病患， Claudia现在已能用手执行一些像是切菜的简单动作，透过连接手部的末梢神经与胸部的皮肤组织，Claudia能直接以思想控制手臂，且根据最近对其手腕、手臂、手肘所做的研究显示，Claudia手部的活动速度比使用传统义肢者快上四倍。研究团队希望将来能在其手臂上装上触碰式感应器，帮助她找回触觉。

目前，Claudia已进步到可以自行化妆、用食，或许有机会，她也可以开始玩起Wii Sports！
