Microsoft 的 iPod：WiFi、社会性互动、努力挖 iTunes 墙脚

微软准备要推出 iPod 杀手的秘密早就被大家传翻天了，几个国际大媒体这几天也都报导这个消息，不过这里是 Engadget，总要再来点辛辣的，根据可靠的微软内部消息指出，新的随身播放器的内线消息如下：

新款随身播放器，屏幕将会比 iPod with video 还大；内置 WiFi 传输，不仅能透过无线传输下载数字内容，还可玩如 Xbox Live 这样的社会性互动的游戏或服务（分享彼此的playlist吗？），会不会是 E3 发表的 Live Anywhere，这就不得而知。不管如何，看得出来微软想往「互联式娱乐」的方向前进。

接下来是微软的凶狠之处，和过去的 IE 模式一样，为了要吸引原本 iPod 用户使用微软的新产品和服务，只要你在 iTunes 音乐商店上下载过的音乐，在微软的新服务下载全部免费。微软的新服务可以扫描你曾经在 iTunes 下载过的音乐，然后自动的将这些音乐加到你微软的新账号。不过微软还是得付这些歌曲权利金给唱片公司，这也许得花不少钱，但对微软来说，这是相当值得的。

这款新装置发售时程预定在 11 月，而微软的下一步是推出内置 WiFi 的 PMP，并于明年推出虚拟行动网络业务MVNO（Mobile Virtual Network Operators），届时配合的产品是采用 Windows Mobile 操作系统的 HTC 宏达电手持装置。这款装置就是让使用者透过 WiFi 传输，让手持设备连上刚刚提到的社会性互动网络服务。
