Alienware 推出新款 Area-51 系列笔记本电脑

Alienware 推出新款宽屏幕 Area-51 笔记本电脑 Area-51 m5700 和 Area-51 m5500，看来这款新笔记本电脑对市场的冲击力道应该不大，跟先前的产品差异不大，Alienware 仍将产品定位在「取代桌上型的笔记本电脑。」15.4寸的m5500重六磅（约2.7公斤），尽管基本款价格不高（17寸 $1399 美元；15寸 $1049 美元），不过 Alienware 之所以称之为 Alienware，还是有道理所在的。

和一般规格死锁的笔记本电脑不同，Alienware 提供了组件选配的服务，包括 CPU 最高可配到 2.13GHz Intel 770 Pentium M 处理器、双 SATA（以 Raid 0、Raid 1运作），屏幕上最高等可选到 17寸 WUXGA 1920 x 1200 LCD 屏幕（两种型号都可）。显示卡大家可以从 Intel Extreme Graphics 3 到 NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Go（256 MB）都可选择，大家想要要配成文书型、多媒体型和电玩专用型都没问题。新款 Area-51 目前已经可以预购，预计在12月推出（没错，中国地区没卖，不过希望眼光好的代理商，赶紧行动了）。
